Raising awareness for clean water projects
A story about clean water could begin with movement, light, and curiosity rather than convention.
Challenge
The Millerntor Gallery raises funds for Viva con Agua’s clean-water projects. Our contribution needed to speak about water and movement without falling back on familiar charity imagery.

Approach
Together with photographer Henning Heide and Senegalese dance group Diamoral, we treated water as choreography. Long exposure, precisely timed flash, and digitally colored fluid transformed each movement into an expressive trace.

Impact
The resulting exhibition series connected dance, water, and light in a way that invited curiosity first—and opened the door to the cause through emotion rather than explanation alone.
My contribution
I co-developed the concept, art-directed the shoot, and shaped the final image treatment in close collaboration with photography, production, and the dancers.
